  • Biography

Min Dong received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, in 2004, and the B. Eng. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1998. During 2004-2008, she was with Corporate Research & Development at Qualcomm Research Center, Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, CA, where she actively contributed to the research, design, and standardization of OFDMA technologies for the next generation broadband mobile communications. Since August 2008, she has been with the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor (maternity leave in 2010). She also holds a status-only Assistant Professor appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto since 2009.

  • Min Dong's research interests are in the areas of statistical signal processing, wireless communications systems and networks. She received the Early Researcher Award (ERA) from Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation (former MRI) in 2012, and the 2004 Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

    Research Interests

    • Adaptive signal processing for communication systems and networks
