Bio
I joined the Faculty of Engineering and Applied
Science
at the University of Ontario(UOIT) in January 2006 as a professor in
Software Engineering. My expertise in Software Engineering comes
primarily from the development of ubiquitous and pervasive
communication systems. I have had the privilage to work in academic,
government, and industrial institutions. Previous to joining the UOIT I
was a professor in the School of Information Technology and Engineering
of the University of Ottawa. Previous to that I held a Senior Research
Engineering position within the Strategic Technology Group at Mitel
Networks. My research career commenced at the National Research Council
in 1984 where I originally investigated intelligent robotic systems and
moved towards distributed software and software agents. My current core
research areas are in Pervasive and Mobile Computing, Distributed
Computing, and Sensor Networks.
