Science Building UA4000, 2000 Simcoe Street North,
Oshawa, Canada ON L1H 7K4
Updated on March 3, 2010. Follow these directions and you might arrive at UOIT.
From Union Station, catch the Lakeshore East GO Train to Oshawa (the end of the line). Between 7:00-9:15 and 15:30-18:15, there are Durham Transit buses (the 419 or 420) that run between campus and the Oshawa GO station, so, if arriving during morning or afternoon rush hours, one can walk from the GO train directly to a bus going to campus.
Outside of rush hour, one has to transfer to a GO bus at the Oshawa train station that goes downtown (one doesn't need to buy a ticket, the train ticket suffices). One gets off at Simcoe Street and, from there, catches a Durham Transit bus (401) that goes up Simcoe Street to UOIT.
You can always take a cab from the Oshawa go station to the UOIT campus.
From the West (Toronto/Pickering/Ajax): Take Highway 401 east to Oshawa. Take exit 417 (Simcoe Street), turn left at Bloor Street West, and then left again at Simcoe Street South. Drive north to Athol Street and turn right. Follow Athol Street to 99 Athol Street East. There are several parking lots in and around the centre.
From the East (Belleville/Kingston): Take Highway 401 west towards Oshawa. Take exit 418 to Ritson Road/Simcoe Street and continue on Drew Street. Turn left at McNaughton Ave and continue on 1st Ave. Turn right at Simcoe Street South. Turn right at Athol Street East, follow to 99 Athol Street East. There are several parking lots in and around the centre.
From the North: Travel south on Simcoe Street North to downtown Oshawa. Turn left on to Elgin Street East then right on Mary Street North. Drive south and turn left on Athol Street East, follow to 99 Athol Street East. There are several parking lots in and around the centre.
